I've had the chance to visit this country and, I'm going to write some sensations that I felt during this trip.

First of all, I have to say that I've been almost exclusively in Dublin city, not in the whole country. As regards Dublin, it didn't have all the things I expected; but this other image I've seen is very very special.

Among the elements that surprised me, I have to emphasize the fact that's not a very big city. I thought it was a rich city; but Dublin preserves all its humility due to a troubled past. Hence you can find a poor (or at least, not rich) district within less than five minutes from the city centre.

Moreover, another thing that I found very interesting is the fact that lots of the features of Dublin (and I guess in Ireland in general too) are very related to the alcohol. For example, as the georgian-styled houses are physically equal, each door was painted with a different colour; this way, when someone arrives home drunk, he won't come into his neighbour's house.

So, at first sight, this city seems quite normal if we compare it with cities such as London or Amsterdam; but it keeps special things inside it that you can appreciate if you learn something about its history (otherwise, it is quite poor as a city).

As for the inhabitants, I have to say that I've had a very good impression about them. Every time they saw you with a map, they came to help you find the place you were searching. Staying in the pubs, they've also come to talk with me. But the most impressive aspect has been the one that they've sold for so long: the atmosphere that is when there's live music in the pub (which happens so often). Then, you can listen to some classical Irish songs that are so special; they have been created so that all the people can sing them. So, when one is played, all the Dubliners try to do their best singing altogether those songs, which creates a very special life inside the pub.

Finally, I have to talk about the trip I did to the Moher Cliffs. That was the place I wanted most to visit. And I have to recognize that it hasn't deceived me. It's an amazing natural formation that can astonish anyone who goes to visit it (and the chance I had to see them, because normally, there's very bad weather there and I had a sunny one). I wish I had been there for longer, but anyway, I can say it's one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. The blend between the blue of the sea, the dark of the slope of the cliffs (where almost none creature can survive) and the green of the top of the cliffs is wonderful. And the 200 m or so of height that the cliffs have makes you feel in another world.

I hope that I will go the next year and visit the whole country; but anyway, I can already say that I've fallen in love with you, Ireland.
